well i promised i'd let you see my little stash from the knitting and stitching show last weekend... first up is this gorgeous shade of araucania ranco, i think this is destined to become a simple beanie hat for me to wear this winter, i also treated myself to a set of knit pro dpns to go with the yarn... i've been totally converted since buying some knit pro interchangeable circulars for my owls jumper.. super smooth and an absolute joy to use, and so pretty too!

i also got some seriously reduced rowan cashsoft chunky in a lovely dark lilac from the black sheep, as you can see above it's already knitted up into a junior owls jumper for em... now of course i need to make one for issie too! should have bought more!!!.. in fact i did buy more but it's aready earmarked for my next crochet project ;)

last but by no means least was also for the girls... i spent a large chunk of my childhood dressed in clothkits dungarees and wild green apple print trousers so my first stop was the clothkits stand... i've not sewn any clothes since making my own bondage trousers/pretend seditionaries tops as a teenager so this may be a bit of a challenge for me but i've bought two skirt kits in the most adorable little bird prints... watch this space for my progress!!
the most impressive thing there though was this fantastic knitted boat... and they had pictures of it actually sailing!! i just wish i'd been able to take part in such a fantastic project... it was complete with ships cat, a pair of seals and of course loads and loads of fish... what a fun and inspiration filled day it was, can't wait till next year! linda :) x
